Ex-cop and  ex-Las Vegas stripper Smokey Brandon harvests clues at crime scenes in a hotbed of high technology, entertainment mania, and old agriculture.  As a forensics specialist for the Orange County, California, Crime Lab, Smokey’s job is to collect, analyze, and preserve the physical evidence from crime scenes.  Combining careful investigation and personal daring, she helps solve some of the county’s grisliest crimes.
